Meet Dr. Stone

Dr. David Stone, MD

A Lifetime of Service to the Tri-Valley

Dr. David Stone grew up in Livermore and Hayward before attending UC Berkeley for his undergraduate education. He went on to complete medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, and his otolaryngology (Ear, Nose & Throat) residency at the University of California, Irvine.

Since 1983, Dr. Stone has been in solo private practice in Pleasanton, California — making him one of the longest-practicing ENT physicians in the Tri-Valley area. His decades of experience span thousands of surgeries and countless patient relationships built on trust and personal attention.

As a solo practitioner, Dr. Stone provides the kind of continuity that is increasingly rare in modern medicine. When you see Dr. Stone, you see Dr. Stone — not a rotating roster of providers. He takes the time to listen, explain, and work with each patient to find the best path forward.

Dr. Stone maintains surgical privileges at Stanford ValleyCare Hospital in Pleasanton.

Yes, Dr. Stone sees patients of all ages. During his career, he has performed thousands of surgeries on young children. However, due to a 2025 policy change at Stanford ValleyCare, the hospital no longer allows any staff physician to perform elective surgery on children under 8 years of age. This policy applies to all doctors at the hospital, not just Dr. Stone. Since Dr. Stone's surgical privileges are exclusively at Stanford ValleyCare, he is currently unable to perform surgery on that age group. Office visits and evaluations are still available for all ages.
